Let’s be honest: this has been a long time coming. We’ve always wanted different things from each other. To say “it’s not you, it’s me” would be a lie. Because, well, it is you. We’re just not compatible.
I don’t think we should remain friends—it would be too hard. In fact, I’d like to never see you again. I wish you all the best, and I hope you find someone who accepts you as you are. I’m sorry I never could.
Love,
The Reluctant Floridian (soon to be the Much More Enthusiastic Californian!)
Congrats on your move!
P.S. This post cracked me up.
Thanks Raina! I can’t wait!
Lurve! 11 thumbs up.
Congrats on the move R–can’t wait to read more posts from the Much More Enthusiastic Californian! :o)
What do you guys think, is themuchmoreenthusiasticcalifornian.com too much to type?
Yes, lovey. It’s too much. On the west coast, we are laid back, but not so much that we’ll ever type out a link like that. We do like acronyms, so you could probably rethink the new domain name along those lines … (Cannot WAIT to have you out on my side of the country.)
nolongerthe.reluctantfloridian.com?
Hm…I think I may own rebeccabraverman.com so maybe I’ll just move over there. (I said that as if I would be doing that work, but I will leave it to my dev team, aka my husband.)
See you soon!!!

Congrats! I’ve lived in California for, let’s just say, over 30 years now, and I think it’s a wonderful, glorious place to live. I may be kind-of partial though.
Yay! So glad you’ve kicked Florida to the curb. Glad to meet you and your lovely blog.
